Abe Lincoln vs. the Steampunk Numbers

Download the current version (v0.02) from here

Evil numbers have attacked and kidnapped an important political figure!

Steampunk Numbers is a Maths-based RPG where Countdown-style number-crunching is your method of defeating your foes.

The game was developed as part of the Warwick Game Design 48-hour competition March 2010, for the theme of Education. The game is intended to teach arithmetic skills to primary school children.

The game was programmed by myself and Sam Staton, with graphics by myself, Wee Hoe Tan and Carina Kuhstaeller.

All production was done in 48 hours, so the current version is a little rough around the edges!

Steampunk Numbers was made in XNA 3.1, so to play the game you will need to download the XNA 3.1 redistributable from here. It's only 7MB and is very easy to install.

If it does not work you may need to download the .NET framework Version 3.5 from here

Over the coming months I plan to develop this with a local primary school teacher as a learning tool.
